Dzulkifli--limkitsiang1IPOH: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief Dzulkifli Ahmad has said opposition leader Lim Kit Siang’s reference to monkeys when criticising him over the 1MDB issue, was “extreme and uncivilised”.
Dzulkifli said that while he was open to criticism from the DAP leader, it should be conveyed in a civilised manner.
“The people can judge whether the behaviour and words of the DAP leader are in accordance with Malaysian culture.
“We are civilised people but the words used are extreme and uncivilised,” he said to reporters after attending the unveiling of an anti-corruption mural by Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir at the MACC Perak office in conjunction with the MACC anti-corruption roadshow here.
A news portal reported today that Lim had criticised Dzulkifli by saying that all eyes were on the graft-buster, specifically on whether he would lead a clean MACC.
Lim said Dzulkifli should realise that if he acted as the traditional three monkeys – with eyes that see not, ears that hear not, and a mouth that speaks not – over the 1MDB scandal, he would make the MACC the first “kleptocratic” anti-corruption agency in the world.
Yes, I agree with LKS, your performance is oly slightly better than your predecessors. By not ging after 1MDB - you all-talk, not much show. And lately going after non issue cases like that of Mr. Phang in Penang and suing LGE, you show unprofessionalism.

A $25 million study by the National Toxicology Program – designed to prove that cell phone radiation is safe – showed that 2G cell phone radiation causes brain cancer and DNA damage in rats. And, keep in mind, we’re fast approaching a time when all of us will be bathed in 5G radiation.
Some people are more susceptible to EMFs than others, and a growing number are experiencing “electromagnetic hypersensitivity” (EHS) – a set of symptoms that appear in some individuals when they are in proximity to wireless or electrical technologies such as smart meters, cell phones, wireless computers or power lines.
The most common symptoms of EHS are dermatological symptoms, such as redness, tingling, and burning. Fatigue, insomnia, memory problems, dizziness, heart palpitations and digestive disturbances can also occur.

EMFs cause pathogens to become more aggressive

Each year, 30,000 cases of Lyme disease are reported to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – with the number of actual cases estimated to be much higher. A study that was conducted by researchers at the University of California (UC) Davis and which was published in Environmental Health Perspectives on Friday, September 8 showed that children whose mothers had an intake of 800 or more micrograms (mcg) of folic acid – the amount that is usually found in most prenatal vitamins – had a lower risk of incurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD), even if their mothers were exposed to household or agricultural pesticides that cause such risk.
Using data from the Childhood Autism Risks from Genetics and the Environment(CHARGE) study, the researchers took into consideration the cases of 296 children between the ages of two and five who were diagnosed with ASD, and 220 children whose conditions developed atypically.
Mothers of both groups of children were questioned about their household pesticide exposure as well as their folic acid intake.
Women who did not take much folic acid and were exposed to agricultural pesticides from three months before conception to three months after conception were also found to be at higher estimated risk. We found that if the mom was taking folic acid during the window around conception, the risk associated with pesticides seemed to be attenuated. Mothers should try to avoid pesticides. But if they live near agriculture, where pesticides can blow in, this might be a way to counter those effects,” said study first author and Department of Public Health Sciences assistant professor Dr. Rebecca J. Schmidt.
Folic acid intake below the median and exposure to pesticides was associated with higher risk of autism than either low intake or exposure alone. The mothers who had the highest risk were the ones who were exposed to pesticides regularly,” Schmidt said.
It would be better for women to avoid chronic pesticide exposure if they can while pregnant,” Schmidt, a MIND Institute faculty member, added.
According to Schmidt, their team is also looking into identifying the mechanisms that contribute to folic acid’s protective effects. “Folate plays a critical role in DNA methylation (a process by which genes are turned off or on), as well as in DNA repair and synthesis.
These are all really important during periods of rapid growth when there are lots of cells dividing, as in a developing fetus. Adding folic acid might be helping out in a number of these genomic functions,” she said.
According to the United States National Institutes of Health, one in 68 American children has ASD, which can range from mild to severe. A combination of environmental and genetic influences cause such a disorder, the agency added.

The slogan on the Whole Foods website says, “Eat real food.” Sure. Then at the top of the home page they claim, “We’re growing something good.” Really? Since when is rapeseed good? Most of the signature Whole Foods brand “365” products contain rapeseed oil (also known as Canadian Low Acid Oil or “canola” for short). All canola oil needs to be thrown under the bus with every other blood-clogging “food stuff” product created in a laboratory, including margarine and genetically modified soybean, corn and palm oils.
Most canola is chemically extracted using hexane, a highly flammable and carcinogenic solvent that’s a constituent of gasoline. Yep, gasoline. Why? Rapeseed oil stinks and is toxic to all animals, including humans, so the crooks and scoundrels at the FDA had to approve a process to deodorize the funk and slide rapeseed under the radar of intelligent U.S. consumers (and the not-so-smart ones too). This process completely destroys the omega-3s and creates trans fats. Everybody and his brother knows the evil and destructive qualities of trans fats by now. Even if canola oil is “expeller-pressed” and organic, it still coagulates in your blood like margarine and beef fat.

Mercury, commonly used in dental amalgam fillings, is one of the most toxic substances on the planet. And, although the American Dental Association continues to insist that mercury-based ‘silver’ fillings are safe, natural health experts have long warned that micro-levels of this highly-toxic substance can be released into the body, with grave health consequences.
Now, a disturbing new study shows that electromagnetic fields from WiFi – a hazard in their own right – accelerate the release of mercury from fillings, further increasing the threat to health.  This research has some alarming implications – let’s look at how you can protect yourself.

Amalgam fillings set the stage for a ‘biological train wreck,’ according to many integrative healthcare providers

Although exposure to mercury can occur through the environment, vaccines and contaminated foods, the main source of exposure is “silver” dental amalgam fillings – which contain 50 percent elemental mercury. Mercury vapors, which are tasteless, odorless and colorless, can be released upon chewing, or upon exposure to hot foods.
And, mercury exposure is associated with a mind-boggling list of ills 
For example, chronic mercury exposure has been linked with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral problems, metabolic disorders and neurological problems. Even low level exposure can create severe oxidative stress and impair the function of the mitochondria – the powerhouses of the cells. It can also destroy the protective myelin sheath that covers the nerves – and interfere with detoxification by depleting glutathione, the body’s ‘master antioxidant.’

Exposure can also disrupt intestinal flora, thereby contributing to digestive disorders such as “leaky gut.”

Groundbreaking WiFi study is the first of its kind

The new research shows that electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) – which are produced by wireless technologies such as cell phones, laptops, tablets and microwave ovens – can accelerate and intensify the release of mercury. The study also suggests that routine medical procedures, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs) and X-rays, are other culprits in quickening mercury release.
To conduct the study, researchers placed 20 extracted, mercury-filled human teeth in artificial saliva and exposed ten of them to 20 minutes of radiofrequency radiation from a standard laptop computer operating at 2.4 GHz.
Researchers then measured the mercury levels in the artificial saliva surrounding the teeth. They found that levels in the fluid of the unexposed teeth were .026 milligrams per liter, as compared to .056 for the mercury-filled teeth – reflecting a doubling of the mercury release.
The research, which was published in 2016 in Journal of Environmental Health Science and Engineering, was the first study to evaluate the effects of WiFi signals on the release of mercury from dental fillings.

Warning: Cell phone use and MRIs put your health at risk

The study built on earlier research evaluating the effects of cell phone and MRI exposure on dental fillings. In a 2008 study, participants were randomly divided into two groups, with one group receiving standard dental restoration work using mercury amalgam. Both groups were then exposed to 30 minutes of magnetic resonance imaging.
The participants who had received dental work had dramatically higher concentrations of mercury in their saliva than the control group.
In a secondary phase of the study – which involved participants with no prior history of either cell phone use or mercury fillings – researchers found that radiation from several days of cell phone use also caused the acceleration of the release of mercury from newly-acquired dental fillings.
In a 2014 study published in International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, participants with silver fillings who were exposed to MRIs experienced three days of raised urinary mercury levels, as compared to a control group.

Natural interventions can help protect against mercury exposure

To minimize the risk of mercury exposure, integrative healthcare providers advise some fairly obvious things, such as, avoiding the threat (as much as possible) by getting dental amalgam fillings properly removed by a trained, biological dentist – as soon as possible. In addition, do your best to avoid excessive exposure to WiFi radiation by having every electronic device you use properly ‘hard wired’ and ditch the ‘comfort’ of wireless technology.
In addition, it’s a great idea to add probiotic foods to your diet, such as yogurt or get a high-quality probiotic supplement with live cultures – which can help to restore the balance of intestinal microbiota; while Brazil nuts and pine nuts can boost stores of zinc and selenium.
Other good choices are organic fruits and vegetables, which are high in carotenoids and protective antioxidants. Eat foods that promote the production of glutathione — such as avocados, Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
Studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids such as DHA can help protect the brain, nervous system and kidney from the effects of mercury. Using fish oil supplements – opt for a molecularly distilled formulation – can help you get the benefits of DHA, while bypassing the risk of mercury accumulation in fish.
Finally, R-alpha lipoic acid helps protect against oxidative stress, while also helping to preserve glutathione – two important parameters when it comes to protecting against mercury toxicity. Studies have shown that lipoic acid taken before exposure to mercury can reduce toxic effects.
Finally, when it comes to the ‘safer’ use of your cell phone: use texting instead of calling, and don’t carry or store a cell phone near or on your body. Naturally, avoiding exposure to EMFs is particularly important if you are pregnant, as unborn children are the most susceptible to mercury exposure.

Most people know that eating more fruit is good for health; however, those with diabetes and blood sugar issues may avoid it due to concerns about its sugar content. However, new research is showing that eating plenty of fresh fruit could help with preventing diabetes.
Over 420 million persons are affected by diabetes worldwide, with nearly 30 million afflicted with the condition in the U.S. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that diabetes causes around 1.5 million deaths around the world per year. In the U.S., diabetes causes around 80,000 deaths annually, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Study of fresh fruit and preventing diabetes first of its kind

The recent research was performed in the UK by a team at the University of Oxford. Their focus was the investigation of the health effects of fresh fruit in subjects with and without the condition of diabetes. No such studies had as yet been performed to investigate the effects of consuming fresh fruit related to diabetes and the risk of cardiovascular events related to the condition.
Nearly 500,000 people were examined in the China Kadoorie Biobank national study to assess the health effects of fresh fruit consumption. Participants were between 30 and 79 years of age and resided in a range of different areas around China. Participants were assessed and tracked clinically for around 7 years. During this time, 9,504 cases of diabetes arose in subjects who didn’t show signs of diabetes when the study began.
Results were adjusted based upon the participants’ age, sex, socioeconomic status, location, body mass index (BMI) and family health history related to diabetes.

Eating fresh fruit lowers diabetes risk by 12 percent

At the study outset, 18.8 percent of participants revealed they ate fresh fruit daily, while 6.4 percent reported they rarely or never consumed it. Those who had been previously diagnosed with diabetes were three times as likely to not consume fruit compared with those without diabetes or with screen-detected diabetes.
It was determined that those who consumed fresh fruit every day had a 12 percent lowered risk of diabetes compared with other study participants. Those who had diabetes at the outset but consumed fresh fruit at least four times per week lowered their risk of all-cause mortality by 17 percent had a 28 percent lowered risk of both minor and major cardiovascular issues. These included heart disease, stroke, eye disease, kidney diseases and neuropathy.
The study results were published in the journal PLOS Medicine.

Yet another reason to eat more fresh fruit

Those who didn’t show signs of blood sugar issues as the study began and also ate large amounts of fresh fruit showed a significantly lowered their risk to become diabetic.  Additionally, those who had blood glucose problems at the beginning of the study and consumed high amounts of fruit had a significantly lower risk of dying from any cause, as well as a lower risk of developing cardiovascular complications.
A diet rich in fresh fruit is already connected with a range of health benefits, and now it’s clear that it can help with preventing diabetes as well.  Of course, always favor organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible.

A North Korean defector alleged that dictator Kim Jong Un keeps teenage sex slaves whom he takes from schools, enjoys a luxury lifestyle while his people starve, and forces children to watch public executions.
The accusations surfaced in an interview published on Tuesday by the Mirror, which shared the story of 26-year-old Hee Yeon Lim, described as an ex-regime insider.
Lim, who now resides in Seoul, South Korea, said that she was able to flee with her mother and younger brother from North Korea's Pyongyang in 2015.
Her father, Colonel Wui Yeon Lim of the Korean People's Army, who died at 51, was permanently on-call, and it was his job that gave her exclusive insight into Kim's regime.
She spoke of one instance when she and other classmates were ordered to watch the public execution of 11 North Korean musicians accused of making a pornographic video.
"The musicians were brought out, tied up, hooded and apparently gagged, so they could not make a noise, not beg for mercy or even scream," she said.
"What I saw that day made me sick in my stomach. They were lashed to the end of anti-aircraft guns," the defector continued.
"There were around 10,000 people ordered to watch that day and I was standing 200 feet from these victims. A gun was fired, the noise was deafening, absolutely terrifying and the guns were fired one after the other. The musicians just disappeared each time the guns were fired into them. Their bodies were blown to bits, totally destroyed, blood and bits flying everywhere."
Tanks were then made to grind over the remains of the victims.
"I felt desperately ill from witnessing this. It was so horrible and I could not eat for three days as it made my stomach churn," Lim shared.
She noted that growing up, she was told that Kim was "like a god," but when she met him, she found him "terrifying, really scary, nothing god-like about him."
Despite being married and having three children, Kim also kept sex slaves, she said.
"Officials came to our schools and picked out teenage girls to work at one of his hundreds of homes around Pyongyang.
"They take the prettiest and ensure they have straight, good legs."
"They learn to serve him food like caviar and extremely rare delicacies. They are also taught how to massage him and they become sex slaves," Lim added.
"Yes, they have to sleep with him and they cannot make a mistake or object because they could very easily simply disappear."
What is more, despite the poverty that the 25 million or so North Koreans live in, Kim apparently hides out in "exquisite bolt-holes" which come with swimming pools, beautiful gardens and fountains.
Talking about her father, she said that he was required by law to sleep in his uniform every night. She added that every adult is required to do the same at times of high tension, such as following a missile test.
"He earned next to nothing but he received bribes all of the time because of his position," Lim said.
"He never talked about military matters. Just one wrong word even to a member of his family and you could be killed. The military is everything there."
Other defectors have, meanwhile, opened up about North Korea's notorious prison camps, where political prisoners, including Christians, are kept and sometimes executed merely for their faith.
"[In the camps] you are forced to labor and you live a life no better than a dog or a pig," an anonymous defector told Sky News in August, adding "it is better to die."
"If you criticize Kim Jong Un you will go to a prison camp and not come back," the man said. "In North Korean society you can do everything but criticize the Kim family. If you are caught, even if you have money, you won't be able to survive. It's a frightening system."
Persecution watchdog Christian Solidarity Worldwide told The Christian Post in March that there are roughly between 100,000 to 200,000 people kept in such camps, "subjected to the worst forms of torture, slave labor, denial of medical care, sexual violence, and in some instances execution."
