Police culture’ behind Pastor Koh, Amri’s disappearance

‘Police culture’ behind Pastor Koh, Amri’s disappearance, alleges family aide

Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted on February 13, 2017 in broad daylight by about 15 masked men in seven vehicles.
Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted on February 13, 2017 in broad daylight by about 15 masked men in seven vehicles.
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — An aide to the families of Pastor Raymond Koh and activist Amri Che Mat has claimed “police culture” — not the government — is responsible for the unsolved disappearances of the two men.
Sheryll Stothard, who is assisting the legal team representing the families, alleged at the Regional Conference on Victims of Enforced Disappearances today that the police could have acted on their own after the two men were allegedly abducted by them.
“It looks like there seems to be a police culture where they seem to take it upon themselves to do a lot of things and it’s difficult to change that, be it the new or old government,” she said.
“I’m not saying the government of the day is not accountable... of course, they are, but the dangerous developed police culture must be addressed.
“I don't think the government of the day is saying, ‘Go and abduct anyone who is deemed threatening,’” Stothard added.
Stothard was rebutting Citizen Action Group on Enforced Disappearance (CAGED) member, Rama Ramanathan, who had alleged that the police were acting on behalf of the government.
Rama, who is also a steering committee member electoral watchdog of Bersih 2.0, said the police are accountable to the Home Ministry.
Stothard also told Malay Mail on the sidelines of the conference that she had met with an aide of Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, and learnt that the ministry knows about said “police culture” involving the disappearances of individuals.
“They told me the challenge is too difficult to determine how far is the corruption and wrongdoing culture in the police force,” she said.
Stothard also said Malaysians are partially to be blame as they encouraged the culture of people being shot or killed without trial.
“When we hear a criminal is shot, we say, ‘Let them die, since they are criminals.’ Malaysians too have become complacent and made this culture acceptable,” she said.
Koh, 62, was abducted on February 13, 2017 in broad daylight by about 15 masked men in seven vehicles.
Koh’s abduction was a matter of concern to Christians in Malaysia because of his previous brushes with state officials.
The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais), accompanied by police, reportedly raided an event organised by a welfare organisation founded by Koh, where Muslims were present.
On November 24, 2016, Amri — a Muslim forex trader from Perlis who had founded a social welfare organisation named Perlis Hope — was abducted near his home.
Amri too had run-ins with Jais in 2015.
Aside from Koh and Amri, Pastor Joshua Hilmy and his wife Ruth Sitepu also disappeared in November last year.
This great EVIL must end. Now the home minister should order the police to clear and make the necessary arrests as to who were the masterminds!!!

There's No Shortage Of Money Among BN's Old Guard - Sarawak Report

Legal Lash-Backs Show There's No Shortage Of Money Among BN's Old Guard

Legal Lash-Backs Show There's No Shortage Of Money Among BN's Old Guard

Malaysia has now at last taken leading control over the 1MDB case.  For years the country’s legal teams stood idle, whilst law enforcers across the globe issued money laundering warnings and asset seizures related to the massive theft of the country’s public money
Taking control - AG Tommy Thomas is now leading the global case on 1MDB
Taking control – AG Tommy Thomas is now leading the global case on 1MDB
However, today it was the new Malaysian Attorney General who moved the process to the next level by issuing criminal proceedings against the alleged mastermind, Jho Low.
Coming fast on the heels of an earlier agreement to take custody of Low’s disputed yacht, which was originally seized on the order of the United States, this first actual criminal prosecution over the billions in asset seizures indicates that behind the scenes cooperation is progressing well between the new team in the AG’s office in KL and their counterparts in the US and Switzerland.
It follows public meetings between Tommy Thomas, Malaysia’s new AG, and top teams from both those countries after he announced  he was taking a personal control over the 1MDB prosecution as the initial priority of his department. Likewise, Malaysia has already launched parallel proceedings against the former prime minister himself, Najib Razak.

Expect Inevitable Resistance From Those Reluctant To Be Relieved of Riches

Another arena where clear evidence of intent has been shown has been in Sabah, where the new administration of Shafie Apadal has wasted no time either in ratchetting up investigations into the disgraceful logging permits that were handed out like conffetti by the Forestry Department under the former Musa Aman protege, Sam Mannan, who had postured globally as a ‘defender’ of the rainforest.
Sam Mannan's image as a forest defender has taken a bash as investigations proceed.
Earlier times – Sam Mannan’s self-proclaimed image as a ‘forest defender has taken a bash as investigations proceed.
Mannan has been ejected from office and this week massive raids took place at his home and at several other addresses linked to himself and his associates, by officers investigating corrupt and illegal logging arrangements.
Even so, it appears that several former top dogs of the old regime are still banking on being able to salvage some of their position and loot.  The brazen claims and denunciations of the new government by Jho Low’s legal teams and PR folk over previous days have caused gasps of astonishment and ridicule in equal measure over the past few days.
Likewise, having dashed to short-term safety in the UK after failing to cobble together a coalition after losing the election, the former Sabah chief minister himself, Musa Aman, is now apparently back in the region to defend his corner and of course his considerable wealth.
Musa - still planning a come-back?
Musa – still planning a come-back?
Musa’s failure to so far register into the state parliament (along with his son who also has a seat) was explained by photographs, which were released to the media in the course of the week to demonstrate proclaimed ill health as his excuse.
The ex-CM was shown apparently unconscious and being wheeled on a hospital trolley.
It was left to sharp eyed commentators to spot that somehow the failing politician was still managing to clutch two mobile phones in one of his lifeless hands.
Musa’s links to Sam Mannan and the logging licences handed out in contravention of conservation rules in return for apparent kickbacks are likely to be a key area of interest for investigators under the new administration, which hopefully can now start to lead the way in rescuing what is left of East Malaysia’s once unparalleled natural heritage (bringing justice to indigenous peoples in the process).
However, it’s clear, that like Jho Low, and indeed their former BN boss, the ex-PM Najib Razak, Musa does not plan to give up without a fight.  This is the penalty that Malaysia faces as a result of its decision to do things according to the law and by the book.
Still wealthy movers and shakers of the past regime are clinging to the hope that somehow they can make the legal process work in their favour as long as they still have access to money gleaned from public coffers during profitable years in office.
After all, these are not men who have been used to losing in life. Nor are they used to operating under a fair system, which they do not control. So, they will keep trying their luck, despite their likely losing battle against Malaysia’s now determined prosecutors.

The Forces of Taib

And it has emerged that yet another unlikely quarter has decided to risk convincing an independent court of their innocent sources of wealth.
The fabulously wealthy daughter and son-in-law of Sarawak’s Taib Mahmud have chosen this moment of all times to launch a defamation case against the Swiss Bruno Manser Fund, which has for years accused the governor and former long-time chief minister of the state of having illegally plundered Sarawak of its timber wealth and state contracts, then passing the proceeds through family companies.
Canada based Sakto, owned by Taib’s son-in-law and daughter, Sean and Jamilah Murray, today laid out its suit against BMF and its director Lukas Strauman, which they have lodged in Switzerland itself, after the fund failed to persuade a Canadian court to order their company to provide full disclosure of its sources of income over the years.
Sarawak Report has learnt that the couple’s lawyers are demanding that the Swiss campaigner withdraws his book ‘Money Logging’, which has now been published for several years.  The book details Sarawak’s timber corruption and accuses Taib Mahmud of having plundered the country and it is only now that the Taib family have move to silence those claims.
According to a spokesman from BMF the law suit seeks to ban the book, shut down the fund’s campaign against timber corruption and close its Sarawak focused websites.
With the power of the state no longer supporting their position it seems that the beneficiaries of decades of BN government still hope that expensive legal action can work to defend their riches and reputations instead.

Time to get them all and RETURN ALL THE LOOTED WEALTH BACK.

MCA: Show proof Putrajaya did right in cancelling China-backed projects - an idiotic question

MCA: Show proof Putrajaya did right in cancelling China-backed projects

 | August 22, 2018
The party’s deputy president, Wee Ka Siong, says it is only fair that Malaysians are given the facts so they can evaluate for themselves.
Wee Ka Siong says if any wrongdoing is found, MCA will be the first one to support the authorities to take stern action.
PETALING JAYA: MCA has again railed against Putrajaya’s decision to cancel three China-backed projects, demanding that the Pakatan Harapan government provide proof it was the correct choice to make.
Dr Mahathir Mohamad had yesterday announced the cancellation of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), the Multi-Product Pipeline (MPP) and the Trans Sabah Gas Pipeline (TSGP) projects.
The prime minister said these projects would be cancelled until Malaysia could afford them and added that projects which were detrimental to Malaysia’s interests won’t be green-lit.
MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong said the government should reveal the feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and economic impact studies for all three cancelled projects.
Putrajaya, he said, should also come clean over the termination and compensation clauses of these projects as well as back up its claims of unfair terms of payment upfront for the two pipeline projects.
“Show us proof that the contractor, which is the fourth largest company in the world, will not complete the two pipelines within the agreed three-year period,” he said in a Facebook post.
Wee, a former minister in the previous administration, was referring to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s revelation last month that Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER), a company backed by the ministry, had approved payments amounting to 87.7% of the project cost to China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB).
Lim said the transactions by SSER were “highly suspicious” because both pipeline projects were only about 13% completed.
But Wee said it was only fair for Malaysians to be given all the facts so that they could evaluate for themselves if PH’s allegations were true and if cancelling the three projects was the right decision.
“As the amount involved is likely to be in the region of tens of billions and the allegations are serious, if a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) needs to be called, then please call for one.
“If any wrongdoing is found, MCA and I will be the first one to support the authorities to take stern action,” the Ayer Hitam MP said.
Wee said yesterday the cancellation of the projects would affect the country’s ties with Beijing and rued the economic losses and other benefits that the projects would have generated.
MCA: Show proof Putrajaya did right in cancelling China-backed projects - an idiotic question. All M'sians know the useless of the ECRL project - a rail going to Kuantan (what for - to see turtles laying eggs at night). At least first DEVELOP Kuantan and then build the ECRL As for the 2 gas pipelines - they are overpaid for little work done - THANKS to Umno/BN corrupt leaders. Stupid MCA vet. Wee  -should keep quiet. Has he lots of shares in these companies building these projects???

Erdogan still playing with a human life (pastor Andrew) how sick can he be!

White House Rejects Turkey's Trade Offer to Release Andrew Brunson

(PHOTO: ACLJ)American pastor Andrew Brunson
The Trump White House has turned down an offer from the Turkish government to release imprisoned evangelical pastor Andrew Brunson.
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that the White House rejected an offer from Ankara to release the imprisoned North Carolina native in exchange for the United States' forgiveness of billions of dollars of fines against one of Turkey's largest state lenders, citing an unnamed senior White House official.
According to the official, Turkey offered to release Brunson if the U.S. drops its investigation in Halkbank (formerly known as Turkiye Halk Bankasi), which faces fines for violating U.S. sanctions against Iran.
However, the Trump administration has reportedly told its NATO ally that it will not discuss the Halkbank situation or other issues until Turkish authorities release the 50-year-old Brunson.
Brunson was placed under house arrest last month after spending about a year-and-a-half in prison on what the U.S. says is baseless charges of terrorism that President Donald Trump has called "phony."
Brunson, who has ministered in Izmir for two decades, is accused of having connections to an Islamic group blamed for the 2016 coup attempt against the Erdogan government and to Kurdish militants. Brunson, who spent 17 months in prison before being charged with a crime, has denied all the charges.
"A real NATO ally wouldn't have arrested Brunson in the first place," the White House official was quoted as saying.
In a tweet last week, President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. will "pay nothing" for Brunson's release.
"Turkey has taken advantage of the United States for many years. They are now holding our wonderful Christian Pastor, who I must now ask to represent our Country as a great patriot hostage," the president wrote. "We will pay nothing for the release of an innocent man, but we are cutting back on Turkey!"
The Trump administration has already taken actions to punish Turkey for its detention of Brunson.
In addition to slapping sanctions on two top Turkish officials that head agencies responsible for Brunson's imprisonment earlier this month, Trump also vowed to doubled steel and aluminum tariffs on Turkey. The move exacerbated the decline in the Turkish lira and has led President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan to claim that the U.S. is waging "economic war."
The Wall Street Journal notes that it is likely that the U.S. could impose more penalties on Turkey as early as this week.
It is believed that Brunson is being held as a bargaining chip for the Turkish regime. Many felt, and ErdoÄŸan even suggested, that Brunson could be released if the U.S. extradites Islamic cleric Fethullah Gülen, who is accused of being involved in the 2016 coup attempt.
While many religious freedom advocates have rallied behind Brunson's case, at least one Christian pastor has called on the U.S. to extradite Gulen in exchange for Brunson.
"The American media has scrutinized Gulen, his Islamist ideology and its charter schools and have written that it is 'a false-flag movement.' So the question is: 'Why is the U.S. government, not only providing refuge for a terrorist, an international criminal, but why are his charter schools getting funding of $800 million dollars to operate in the United States?'" New York City pastor Bill Devlin asks. "Clearly, Mr. Gulen should be extradited back to Turkey by the U.S. government, immediately, if not sooner."
It was reported last month that Trump tried to negotiate a deal that would have seen Israel release a suspected Hamas smuggler Ebru Ozkan in exchange for Brunson.
Erdogan still playing with a human life (pastor Andrew) how sick can he be! More world leaders should now voice out against him. More sanctions be imposed.

THE LIST OF PRODUCTS AND FOODS with MONSANTO’S CARCINOGENIC GLYPHOSATE

THE LIST OF PRODUCTS AND FOODS THAT HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR MONSANTO’S CARCINOGENIC GLYPHOSATE

Monsanto is receiving considerable global backlash after the agrochemical and seed giant was found guilty of malice and of covering the fact that their flagship product can cause cancer.
At issue is glyphosate, the active chemical ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup and Ranger herbicides. For years, evidence has been mounting that glyphosate is carcinogenic, which is quite alarming considering that it is the most widely used (and overused) agricultural chemical ever.

“Americans have applied 1.8 million tons of glyphosate since its introduction in 1974. Worldwide, 9.4 million tons of the chemical have been sprayed onto fields. For comparison, that’s equivalent to the weight of water in more than 2,300 Olympic-size swimming pools. It’s also enough to spray nearly half a pound of Roundup on every cultivated acre of land in the world.” ~Newsweek
Glyphosate is so prevalent in our environment that trace amounts of it is now found in a wide variety of consumer products, including foods and personal hygiene products, in the human body, and in water supplies.
To some scientists and related officials, none of these products individually contain high enough levels of glyphosate to pose a health risk, however, others argue that consuming trace amounts leads to dangerous accumulations within the body, as it is known to bio-accumulate in major organs and bones.
The, “EPA’s high-end estimate of infant exposure to glyphosate exceeds the level the Agency considered safe for them in 1983.” [Newseweek]
The following list of products that have tested positive for glyphosate is quite unsettling, and the retailers who sell these products would do well for themselves to take the lead in calling for an outright ban on glyphosate.

Final Thoughts

Additionally, it is believed by some that many products containing GMO’s are at risk of contamination, since glyphosate use has skyrocketed with the development of GMO staple crops.
The struggle to remove glyphosate from the market place and retire it from use forever is well-underway. Please share this list far and wide, add any additional testing that you find to the comment section below, and pressure your favorite retailers to take these products off the shelves.
