PH choose Anwar, Dr. M lost his influence
2020 should be a year of pride for Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. However, as of July, 2020 does not seem to be next to Mahathir.
The act of putting a position as prime minister for the sake of establishing a unified kingdom which is no longer shackled and bound by the plausible promise of Pakatan Harapan's manifesto and the agreement to hand over power to Anwar Ibrahim is the biggest blight of Mahathir's political arena so far.
Not only Mahathir lost the opportunity to become a prime minister, instead he is now losing influence not only in the political circle of friends or opponents but also losing the trust of the people.
The loss of Mahathir's influence in political partners can be seen through the rejection of two reserves regarding the prime minister candidate PH Plus. The first reserve where Mahathir returned as PM and Anwar as TPM was not accepted by a single vote. The second reserve in which Sabah Chief Minister, Shafie Apdal became PM and Anwar and Mahathir's son, Mukhriz was appointed TPM was also finally rejected by the PH council president last night.
President PH's rejection of majlis against Shafie's reserves as PM and gave Anwar full power to make a great slap negotiation to Mahathir.
Mahathir is now alone without parties with 4 free Parlimen experts who are reluctant with Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin at PPBM.
What will Mahathir do after this?
Will Mahathir respect PH's decision to nominate Anwar as PM and help persuade his political partner to support Anwar as PM? If he can do it for Shafie's sake, why not Anwar?
To what extent can Mahathir hold the Inheritance to continue with him and dissidents see an attempt to seize the kingdom back to a dead end?
Does Mahathir want to wait for Najib's fate in court before carrying out the last political movement?
So on, will Mahathir be at first good with Muhyiddin because PH is proven to not want to hear the reserves?
Mukhriz's political life now depends entirely on his father's political movements. Will Mukhriz return to PPBM or Umno?
Dr. M should nominate Anwar as PM designate, he has lost credibility as a statesman - blundered his way as the then PM. He and his unity govt nailed PH and let the backstabbers to power. Never should he be PM again. And he should not play politics to get his son into such powerful position - sickens me, us. With the change of speaker the PN will be even more powerful! All thanks to the blunderer.
