SG BESAR POLLS Selangor DAP chief Tony Pua today responded to Jamal Md Yunos' demand for proof that he had uttered the words "Cina babi" (Chinese pigs).
At a press conference in DAP's Sekinchan office this morning, he played a video clip of the Sungai Besar Umno chief, taken a day after the red shirt rally in Kuala Lumpur last year.
In the video, Jamal told a press conference: "Melayu sebut babi kita sensitif sebab babi haram tapi bagi orang cina, babi makanan mereka jadi tak ada masalah. Apa yang nak dibesar-besarkan isu ini?"
(When Malays are called pigs, it is sensitive because pigs are forbidden, but for the Chinese, they eat pigs, so it is not a problem. Why make a fuss out of this issue?)
The Umno man had been asked to comment on an incident during the rally, where protesters chased away a Malaysiakini reporter and called her 'Cina babi'.
Pua urged Jamal to listen to the evidence and issue an apology over his remarks.
The DAP lawmaker also told him not to negatively affect the chances of BN candidate for the Sungai Besar by-election Budiman Mohd Zohdi.

Last week, DAP admitted to erecting several inflammatory anti-BN billboards around Sekinchan, including ones that showed an image of Jamal saying it was fine to say 'Cina babi' because the Chinese eat pigs.
Jamal had denied the matter and demanded proof that he had uttered the derogatory remarks.
At a MCA ceramah last night, Jamal also claimed that Pakatan Harapan had resorted to playing up the race card because it could not find fault with Budiman or raise any local issues.
Pua, in response, said Harapan was actually using the "anti-racism" card to remind voters not to vote for a "racist" party.
"If they dare to say it during non-election time, why are they so afraid during by-election if they said nothing wrong?" asked the Petaling Jaya Utara MP.
The billboards to campaign for Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) candidate Azhar Abdul Shukur were discovered around two roundabouts in Sekinchan, but taken down later the same day under instructions from the Election Commission.
Apart from Budiman and Azhar, the third contender for the parliament seat is PAS’ Dr Abdul Rani Osman.

Looks like Jamal has the guts to issue inflammatory statements but do not have the courage to admit, by denying he has shown us what a COWARD he is, Is this the superior Malay he profess to be???
